Just after 8pm Sunday a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy was on routine patrol in The Woodlands. He was westbound on Woodlands Parkway approaching Panther Creek when he observed a vehicle, also westbound driving erratically and at a high rate of speed. He activated his emergency equipment to stop the violator. Seconds later a vehicle failed to yield right of way. The deputy had to take evasive action to avoid a collision and struck an illumination pole. The patrol suffered some damage. The vehicle the deputy had attempted to stop sped off. That driver can expect a knock at the door as the vehicle license number was recorded on the deputies dash cam. The deputy was uninjured.
