DEPUTY SAVES SEVERAL DOGS FROM BURNING BUILDING

Saturday night Cleveland Fire was dispatched to a reported building fire on County Road 379/Morgan Cemetery. Units from Cleveland, Tarkington, Plum Grove, and East Montgomery Coutny Fire Departments responded. While en route a Liberty County Deputy arrived on the scene and learned there were dogs in the structure. She was able to rescue the dogs before the fire arrived on the scene. The building was a total loss. The Liberty County Fire Marshal will investigate. Ironically this building was just behind the Flea Market on I-69. On June 16, 2013, the Flea Market was destroyed by fire.
