MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX- Older folks will remember an iconic television crime drama called “Kojak”, with Greek-American actor Telly Savalas playing the title role. Kojak was a tough New York City Police Detective who solved crime, and ate lollipops. The actor died many years ago, but his legacy lives on.
It appears a 27-year-old Tomball man was named after the Kojak star, with slight differences in the spelling. Telle Savalous Fountain also has quite a bit of firsthand knowledge when it comes to crime. Unfortunately, Telle’s knowledge has apparently been acquired not by solving crimes, but by committing them.
On Wednesday, around 1:30 p.m., Deputies with Pct. 3 Constable Ryan Gable’s Criminal Interdiction Unit initiated a traffic stop near I-45 and Sawdust Road. They wound up arresting both occupants, one of whom was Telle Savalous Fountain, who Public Data shows pleaded guilty in Harris County to a first-degree felony armed robbery charge 2018 in exchange for a six-year sentence. He was released from TDCJ January 17 of this year. It wasn’t his first armed robbery conviction. He also has prior convictions for Assault of a Public Servant and a variety of other offenses. The other man, Joseph Wisnowski, didn’t have a famous sounding name, but he was also a convicted felon.
Telle Savalous Fountain, 27, of Tomball is charged with third-degree felony Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon, and third-degree felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, penalty group 1/1-B.
Joseph Michael Wisnowski, 27 of Spring is charged with third-degree felony Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon
