Disturbance Leads to Arrest of Armed Suspect

HARRIS COUNTY, TX- On October 21, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a disturbance in the 1000 block of Thicket Hill Court.

Upon arrival, the male suspect fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, and with the assistance of DPS Air Support and a Constable K9 Unit, deputies located the suspect hiding in a nearby truck yard. He was safely apprehended and identified as Mathew Al-Lahalih.

Further investigation revealed that Al-Lahalih had threatened his ex-employer with a handgun prior to deputies’ arrival.

“Mathew Al-Lahalih was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Terroristic Threat – Fear of Imminent Serious Bodily Injury and Evading Arrest. His total bond was set at $200 out of County Court 1,” Constable Mark Herman said.
