DISTURBANCE LEADS TO ARREST THIS MORNING

Conroe Police responded to multiple calls regarding a disturbance in progress involving a male suspect who was trying to enter a residence. The suspect had allegedly broken windows, caused damage to screen doors, and threatened the resident. As officers arrived, the resident advised officers the subject was in the back yard. Officers attempted to detain the subject and a struggle ensued. The subject assaulted the officers with his fists during the struggle. One officer deployed his Taser to subdue the suspect. The Taser had little effect on the suspect. A short burst of OC spray to the suspect caused the suspect to comply. After the scene was secured by officers, an illegal, short barreled shotgun was found in the driveway to the residence. The suspect was identified as Eric Gustafson, age 26. Gustafson was transported to the Montgomery County Jail with charges of two counts of Assault on a Public Servant, Felony Third Degree, two counts of criminal mischief, terroristic threat, criminal tresspass with deadly weapon and resisting arrest. His total bond is set at $14000.
