Southern Realty Broker, Cristin Cash Wright, is a life-long resident of southeast Texas who became a first responder as soon as she was old enough, and continued while attending real estate school. Cristin grew up with a family who believed in hard work and serving their community, which strongly influenced her life choices. She’s married to her high school sweetheart, Jacob. He’s a firefighter with North Montgomery County Fire Department, and is also a licensed peace officer and a reserve Deputy with the Precinct 1 Constable’s Office, meaning he volunteers his time when needed. Cristin also maintains her EMT-B certification.

Cristin served her community as a member of the Montgomery County Fair Association and Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Committee before having children and taking a break from some of her volunteer duties. Her three young children attend Willis ISD schools, just like their parents.

Cristin’s maternal grandmother, the late Ruth Miller, was a successful businesswoman who Cristin says was the “driving force” behind her obtaining her real estate license. Real estate was the “family business”, so Cristin had some idea what to expect when she decided during college to give the business a “test drive” and discovered her passion. She obtained her real estate license in 2009, and Edie Parsley of JP Properties in Willis was her first mentor. Cristin became a licensed real estate broker in 2014, and opened Southern Realty that summer.

The real estate business was a natural fit for the friendly and enthusiastic entrepreneur who knew tons of people, knew the roads and neighborhoods, and loved helping people. Starting out, she found a small agency where they helped her “learn the ropes” in the early years. Although the US economy has had its ups and downs since Cristin became a realtor, Montgomery County saw massive growth in population, as well as commercial and residential development. As for why Montgomery County has not only seemed immune to the recession, but has seen dramatic growth, Cristin believes it’s simply because things are better here than in much of the country.

“People are moving here because it’s a strong market, and a stable economy – even when the rest of the country is floundering,” she said.

Of course, Lake Conroe, and easy access to any and everything are also big draws. Cristin’s among the most knowledgeable around, when it comes to Lake Conroe. She’s spent her entire life living and working on and around the lake, and has 15 years of experience in marine construction with Shoreline Services. The family has a lake house, and Cristin still spends a lot of time of there.

She likes to say, “from the land to the sand,” referring to closing deals in the areas throughout the piney woods all the way to the Gulf Coast.
