Ronald Eugene Blocker, 51, of Magnolia is charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Deputies E. Rivera and J. Downing arrested Blocker around 11 p.m. on April 21 in the 20000 block of Hwy 59 in New Caney after responding to an “attempt to locate” dispatch on his Ford F250 pickup. The reportee said he saw Blocker leave an area bar on FM 1485 and then swerve into oncoming traffic before swerving the opposite direction and narrowly missing a ditch. The deputies located the vehicle and also saw dangerous driving, so they stopped it. Blocker admitting having alcoholic beverages at two locations that evening and failed the standard field sobriety test.
