DPS IDENTIFIES VICTIMS OF FRIDAY MORNINGS DOUBLE FATAL CRASH IN EAST MONTGOMERY COUNTY

UPDATE-DPS identifies victims of the Friday morning double fatal crash in East Montgomery County; The driver of the eastbound Nissan that crossed the center line was identified as David Dryan Ivey, 40, of Conroe. He was pronounced deceased on the scene. The driver of the Ford was identified as Angel Adrian Ureste, 24, of Cleveland. He was westbound heading to work and was hit head-on. His passenger remains in serious condition at HCA Conroe.

 

At 4 am Friday, 911 calls came in reporting a head-on crash on SH 105 East near Cleveland in Montgomery County. Fire units on the scene found one person, the driver, deceased in a Ford Fusion. His female passenger was in critical condition. The driver of the other vehicle, a Nissan, was trapped in his 2013 Nissan. Firefighters were able to cut him out. however, he was also in traumatic arrest. Medics went to work on him but he was pronounced deceased on the scene also. The female, who was also trapped, was transported to HCA Conroe in critical condition. East Montgomery County. East Montgomery County and North Montgomery County Fire units responded to the scene. DPS investigated the crash. It was determined that the male from Conroe driving the Nissan was eastbound over the overpass when he crossed the center line for unknown reasons. He struck the westbound Ford Fusion head-on. The driver and passenger of the Ford were from the Cleveland area. SH 105 reopened at 9 am. A Montgomery County medical examiner responded to the scene and requested Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the deceased victims to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy.
