It is with great sadness that we share the passing of K9 Gee, the 170th certified narcotics detection canine for the Texas Department of Public Safety. K9 Gee was a dedicated partner and critical asset to the department’s mission to protect and serve the communities. Not only was she a part of the DPS family, K9 Gee was loved and adored as one of their own by her handler and family.
Throughout her years of service, K9 Gee conducted more than 200 searches, leading to the removal of illicit drugs and currency from our streets. Her work directly contributed to making our highways and neighborhoods safer — and reflects her invaluable role at DPS and the impact of our canine program.
Thank you, K9 Gee, for dedicating your life to serving the people of the great state of Texas. You will be missed.
