Just before 8 pm, DPS Troopers patrolling I-69 near Splendora stopped a Ford SUV that was northbound with paper plates. As the Trooper approached he was able to only see a driver in the vehicle due to the windows. He then realized as the vehicle appeared to be weighted down additional occupants in the rear. As backup arrived from Splendora Police and DPS they discovered fourteen additional occupants. DPS contacted the Montgomery County District Attorney accepted charges on the driver and his brother after learning they were transporting the illegals to different areas of the country. They got stories of New York, Louisiana, Florida. The driver had no identification as did his brother. After contacting ICE Troopers were told to release the other thirteen. One woman we talked to said she was from Ecuador and it is costing her $20,000 at 6% interest to be transported to a destination.
