ORIGINAL STORY
At 7 pm North Montgomery County Firefighters along with Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies and MCHD were dispatched to a crash involving a truck and a motorcycle on FM 1484 and Ike White, just outside Willis. Fire was first to arrive and requested Air Medical be put on stand-by as they had one fatality and one critically injured. MCHD arrived and confirmed one female motorcyclist was deceased and the other was very critical with severe trauma. The injured female was transported to HCA Conroe in critical condition. At midnight she was still in surgery. DPS arrived on the scene and determined a 28-year-old male driving a 2014 Chevrolet 2500 work truck loaded with tree debris was traveling down FM 1484 just past Ike White when he crossed into the oncoming lane striking a 2017 Harley Davidson motorcycle head-on. He was tested on the scene and was not impaired. Montgomery County Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack responded to the scene for the inquest and ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the female victim who was in her 50’s to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy. The Montgomery County County Vehicular Crimes Unit responded to the scene to assist in the investigation. The names of the females have not yet been released pending notification of next of kin by DPS. The investigation is continuing. FM 1484 reopened just after midnight. Both females on the motorcycle were wearing helmets.
