A Houston woman demonstrated the importance of choosing just the right shirt when she was arrested Sunday night in Porter.
Around 10:30 p.m., Precinct 4 Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden was on holiday shopping district patrol in Porter when he saw a motorist commit a violation when turning left onto Loop 494 from FM 1314. Constable Hayden initiated a traffic stop and when the vehicle finally stopped, he noticed the male driver and his female passenger, Stefanie Hill both appeared excessively nervous. The Constable also noticed something was causing a front pocket on Hill’s hoodie to bulge, and he asked them to step out of the vehicle.
Once the suspects were Mirandized and detained, Constable Hayden asked if they had any contraband. Hill then mentioned the possibility there was a marijuana cigarette in her bra or her pants pocket. Turns out, Hill was in possession of marijuana and Hydrocodone.
When Hill removed her hoodie during booking, her fashion sense became very apparent. She was arrested wearing a t-shirt that had an image of a pair of handcuffs on the front, along with the words, “GOT BAIL?”
Stefanie Lynn Hill, 27, of Houston is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, (more than 3 grams, but less than 28 grams); and Possession of Marijuana (less than 2 ounces).
Constable Hayden said the arrest should serve as a warning to others.
“We keep saying it, but some people have to learn the hard way,” Constable Hayden said. “If you’re determined to break the law, don’t do it in East Montgomery County.”
