At 6:28 pm Magnolia Fire Department was dispatched to a three-vehicle crash at Community Road and FM 1488 just east of the Magnolia City limits. Units arrived on the scene to find one person trapped in the vehicle. Once they were able to remove the victim it was determined that he was deceased. DPS and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office is investigating the crash. It is believed alcohol is a factor in the crash. A Honda Pilot was southbound on Community Road and it is believed the driver disregarded the stop sign at Community and FM 1488. The driver slammed into the westbound pickup causing it to roll over the top of an Infiniti Q60 and landing on its roof next to the Infiniti. The driver of the Honda Pilot was taken into custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The female driver of the eastbound Infiniti was transported to the hospital in stable condition. Eickenhorst Funeral Directors transported the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy. FM 1488 reopened at 10 pm.
