Just after 11:30 pm 911 operators took a call from a motorist on US 59 near SH 242 reporting a white Mustang at a high rate of speed all over the roadway. Almost immediately a Patton Village officer spotted the vehicle and initiated a pursuit. The driver exited FM 2090, ran the red light at the intersection and continued northbound over 100 mph on the feeder. Again at Fostoria, he ran the red light and as he re-entered US 59 he started to slow. He had not come to a stop when he stepped out of the vehicle, tumbling on the ground as the car continued northbound and crashed into the median. The driver then got up and ran across the ditch toward the railroad tracks losing his shoes. The officer right behind him. The officer was able to deploy a taser to stop him. The driver identified as Artemio Mondragon Torbio, 25 of Cleveland, was transported to Kingwood Hospital for evaluation and then be transported to the Montgomery County Jail for resisting arrest and evading arrest. There was an open container in the console. His bond was set at $25,000.
