HARRIS COUNTY, TX- A man with a prior DWI conviction is back behind bars after crashing into a deputy’s patrol vehicle while allegedly driving drunk.
On June 21, a Deputy with Constable Mark Herman’s Office was responding to a call for service in the 22300 block of the North Freeway when another vehicle struck her patrol unit. The driver, Leroy Taylor, allegedly showed multiple signs of intoxication.
Deputies conducted a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and determined Taylor was intoxicated. A background check revealed he had a previous conviction for Driving While Intoxicated.
Taylor was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, where he was charged with Driving While Intoxicated – 2nd Offense. His bond was set at $100 by County Court 8.
