The driver of the fuel tanker which crashed on FM 149 Monday has been identified as Jason Rosson, 42, of Katy. According to Trooper Frederick, the truck was travelling northbound on FM 149 near Spring Branch when the trailer tires slipped off the road. The driver overcorrected to the left causing the trailer to pull the truck to the right and roll over. The tanker was loaded with over 8,000 gallons of gasoline and diesel.
Rosson, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected. CPR was administered at the scene and enroute to the hospital. Rosson was pronounced dead at Conroe Regional Hospital at 1:50 p.m.
Trooper Frederick was assisted by Troopers Barnhill, Burrell, Schneider and Taska.
Conroe Fire Department assisted Montgomery Fire Department with the hazmat scene and HAZMAT International of Conroe was tasked with the clean-up of the spilled fuel.
