HARRIS COUNTY, TX– A woman is in custody after allegedly attempting to evade a traffic stop while driving under the influence in North Harris County.
On April 26, a Deputy with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office initiated a traffic stop in the 11000 block of the Eastex Freeway. The driver, later identified as Kameron Flowers, refused to pull over and led Deputies on a brief vehicle pursuit.
Deputies quickly brought the pursuit to a safe end and detained Flowers. She exhibited multiple signs of intoxication, and deputies administered a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, confirming she was impaired. Her blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was measured at 0.147, nearly twice the legal limit.
Further investigation revealed Flowers also had multiple open warrants for her arrest.
“Kameron Flowers was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrants and charged with Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle and Driving While Intoxicated,” said Constable Mark Herman. “Her bond was set at $5,100 out of the 248th District Court and County Court 1.”
No injuries were reported during the pursuit. The case remains under investigation.
