Just after 5 a.m. Friday morning Montgomery Fire Department and MCHD were dispatched to a major accident in the 4000 block of FM 1486 about 4 miles north of SH105. When they arrived on the scene they found a 2001 Ford F250 pickup truck had struck a tree. The male driver identified as Bryan “Chanse” Seiter, 20, of Montgomery was deceased.
According to DPS the vehicle was northbound on FM 1486 when it left the roadway on the southbound side of FM 1486. It appeared the driver then overcorrected, came back onto the road in a side skid and slammed into the tree. The impact was so strong that the battery launched into the rear window of a pickup truck parked in front of the home where the crash occurred.
Judge Moriarty pronounced Seiter dead on the scene and ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the body to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy.
It has yet to be determined what time the crash occurred as the home owner found the vehicle in his front yard this morning when he got up.
Anyone with any information on where Seiter was last seen or if anyone saw the vehicle earlier you are asked to contact DPS.
