In the predawn hours of Tuesday, Montgomery County ESD 3, ESD 2 firefighters, and MCHD Medics responded to a residential structure fire on Rolling Oak Dr in Montgomery Trace.
Engine 34 was first on location and found heavy fire from the garage. Engine 31 quickly established a water supply from the nearby fire hydrant. Ladder 31’s crew made quick access into the attic of the home and stopped the fire from spreading further. The fire was contained to the garage and a portion of the attic. MCSO provided traffic control during the battle, that lasted well past sunrise.
The residents were home when the home caught fire. Thankfully, there were no injuries. The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause.
