ELEVEN OFFICERS AWARDED FOR GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND

Monday night 11 law enforcement officers were recognized for going above and beyond at the annual East Montgomery County Improvement District Appreciation Dinner in New Caney.  With dinner served by Texas Roadhouse attendees heard Dr. Joe Serio speak. Serio has been involved with law enforcement since 1987. He has delivered more than 200 classes to law enforcement across the United States. Serio is currently a featured instructor at the Leadership Command College at the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville. He is the founder and principal author of the get Get the Nerve series of books on topics such as managing fear and resistance, improving emotional intelligence, increasing productivity and managing stress. In his previous life, he was the only American to work in the Organized Crime Control Department of the Soviet National Police. He is the author of the critically acclaimed book, Investigating the Russian Mafia, and the author of the forthcoming book, Vodka, Hookers, and the Russian Mafia: My Life in Moscow.
