One of our favorite top cops, Cleveland Police Chief Broussard, saw the pics and identified the LEO assisting in the photos as Cleveland Police Patrol Officer Jake Kelly.

Thanks to Officer Kelly for going above and beyond to serve and protect and thanks to Chief Broussard for taking time from his busy schedule to let us know! (Thanks also to Slinky Knox of Saddle Creek Towing of Splendora – He’s an EMC unsung hero who’s helped law enforcement more times than I can count, and I’m sure I know only a small fraction of the times he’s offered his help in whatever way he could!)

We also have a few more and now we have a couple more unidentified folks who don’t appear to be CPD. (Feel free to send us that info and we’ll update that too)

Good people should be recognized for their deeds too! We don’t get to post a ton of it because the ones doing it for the right reason aren’t looking for recognition.

Thanks to Jackson Kelley, we have these pics of a Cleveland Police Officer who was rescuing folks from floodwater today. East Montgomery County residents (and a million or so others) will also recognize the man in the airboat as Slink Knox or Saddle Creek Towing. Slinky has used his airboat to help with rescues during many natural disasters and never seeks any reward or recognition for doing so.

The Cleveland Police Officer (We don’t know his name yet, but I’m betting Chief Broussard will tell me) went above and beyond his assigned duties. It was hot and humid. The mosquitoes are out in force, and the Officer was dressed in black, but he didn’t hesitate to do as much as he could to serve those in need.
