EMC FIRE GROUPS LOOKING FOR SPONSORS FOR LARGEST FIRE PREVENTION EVENT

Ladies and Gentlemen,

As many of you with school aged children may know Porter, New Caney, and Splendora Fire Departments team up once a year, aside from the typical mutual aid we provide to one another, to host a poster contest and Safety Festival. The poster contest encompasses both Splendora ISD and New Caney ISD in Montgomery County on the Hwy 59 corridor. There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prize awarded for each elementary campus in both school districts. In years past, the contest has provided each 1st place winner a $50 dollar prize and a ride to school on a fire truck, each 2nd place winner a $30 prize, and each 3rd place winner a $20 prize. A grand prize winner will be chosen out of the 1st place posters and awarded a $500 prize which will go to the campus attended by the creator of the poster.

The Porter, New Caney, and Splendora Fire Departments will be hosting the 3rd annual Safety Festival to culminate the poster contest and award the prizes. In addition to awarding the prizes, we will also be using this festival as an avenue to further reach our community in regards to all things health and/or safety related.

We are expecting a large turnout for the event. We are currently seeking donations to help provide the above stated prizes, food, and many other expenses associated with this event. We have been working to get a radio station to advertise and be present the day of the festival to provide more notoriety for the event. Any local businesses that operate bounce houses, or anything the kids can climb on, are being asked to contact the Public Relations Officer/Safety Fest Coordinator at Porter Fire Department. We are looking for any of our supporters who operate a health and/or safety related business to come out and further support your local fire departments along with the health and safety of the children in our area. We are gladly accepting any suggestions for adding to the marketability and/or fun we can provide at the festival. Please contact the Public Relations Officer at Porter Fire Department with any questions, suggestions, or donations.

All donations are tax deductible and charitable donation forms are available upon request. If you wish to donate by mail please send to:
