HARRIS COUNTY, TX- With violent crime continuing to rise across the country, Constable Mark Herman has equipped his deputies with additional patrol rifles to strengthen protection for both the community and frontline responders.
“Harris County has become a county with little or no consequence when it comes to committing violent crimes against citizens or attacking law enforcement,” said Constable Mark Herman.
Constable Herman noted that repeated criminal behavior and the dangers deputies face daily require the department to remain fully prepared and properly equipped.
All deputies assigned these rifles have been thoroughly trained and certified, ensuring they are deployed only by qualified personnel.
These AR-15 patrol rifles enhance a deputy’s ability to respond effectively when confronted by a heavily armed individual intent on harming the public or law enforcement.
Constable Herman emphasized that providing the best tools and training possible is a responsible and necessary investment in community safety.
“My deputies will always be equipped with the highest level of protection while they work to keep our neighborhoods safe,” he added.
