11:45A.M.-The fire from this mornings explosion at the Entergy Porter Substation continues to burn. Additional tankers are now being brought in from New Caney, Caney Creek, River Plantation to make a final attack on the fire. The power to the facility has been secured with no outages outside the unit. Over 2100 gallons of mineral oil has burned so far causing a black cloud of smoke moving to the north. Woodlands HazMat has been monitoring air quality. TCEQ has also been notified. Over 50 firefighters are currently on the scene. Dump tanks are being set up to flow the massive amount of water that will be needed in this arrea where there are no fire hydrants close by.
Conroe Fire Department has has arrived with their foam truck.
