Entergy Texas expects to have more than 75% of impacted customers restored by the end of day Friday

 

As of 11 a.m. Friday, crews have restored electrical power to approximately 182,000 of the 252,460 customers impacted by Hurricane Beryl. The company anticipates having more than 75% of customers restored by the end of the day Friday, and all customers who can safely take power restored no later than Monday, July 15.

 

More than 4,000 residents on Bolivar Peninsula were restored overnight, and the remaining customers should expect to have power by the end of the day Friday.

 

Most of the remaining outages are in heavily damaged areas requiring more extensive repairs. Crews will continue to assess damage in hard-hit areas while safely restoring power as quickly as possible to communities.

 

The chart below provides an update on expected restoration times in specific areas of our service territory. Keep in mind that these restoration times are estimates and times may change based on severity of damages and weather conditions.

 

Location specific information:

Conroe Network (Includes Montgomery, Panorama Village, Willis, and surrounding areas)

 

There are approximately 24,000 customers without power in the Conroe Network. The specific challenges to restoration efforts are downed trees and vegetation.

 

Damage assessments are 90% complete and have found:

  • 80 poles down
  • 86,700 feet of downed wire
  • 48 damaged transformers
  • 95 broken crossarms

 

Since our last update, crews were able to restore power to approximately 1,500 customers around Longmire Road and Highway 105, as well as customers in the areas between Loop 336 & Highway 45 near FM 2854, and the Rigby Owen Road area.

 

Crews are actively working to restore power today/this evening to approximately 500 customers in the area between Highway 75 & Conroe High School, approximately 200 customers in the downtown Willis area near Stewart St, and approximately 2,000 customers in the area near FM 1097 west of Highway 45.

 

New Caney Network (includes Huffman, Porter, Roman Forest, Woodbranch, Kingwood, and surrounding areas)

 

There are approximately 18,000 customers without power.

 

Damage assessments are 89% complete and have found:

  • 60 poles down
  • 124,200 feet of downed wire
  • 32 damaged transformers
  • 61 broken crossarms

Since our last update, crews were able to restore power to approximately 4,400 customers in the Timberland, Forest Colony, Oakhurst areas (77365 area). Power has also been restored to parts of Kingwood.

Crews are actively working to restore power in the following locations and surrounding areas:

Lazy Pine Drive to North Wood Country Drive, Russell Dr, River Ridge Rd, Aestival St., from Old Houston Rd at Old Houston Storage Bldg to N. Gate Lane including William Airport and Porter Heights. We’re focusing on areas South of Grand Parkway across 99 at the Highlands to Yancy Rd. Also, we continue focus on these subdivisions: Summer Hill, The Heights, Riverwalk, Cumberland, Brookwood Forest, Northpark Woods, Porter Mills, Timberland, Valley Ranch, Country Village.

 

Cleveland Network (includes Patton Village, Plum Grove, Splendora, and surrounding areas)

 

There are approximately 15,000 customers without power in the Cleveland Network. Noted challenges are vegetation issues and truck access issues.

 

Damage assessments are 100% complete and have found:

  • 175 poles down
  • 321,600 feet of downed wire
  • 69 damaged transformers
  • 322 broken crossarms

 

Since our last update, crews were successfully able to restore power to approximately 2,000 customers in the following areas:  Plum Grove Rd & Paul Campbell Loop, Grand Oaks, Cox St. East of South Finner, FM 1010, and Tram Road to Rio Vista.

 

Crews are actively working to restore power today/this evening to approximately 3,500 customers in the following areas: North Holly, FM 787, Daw Collins Rd at Collins Ln, Drivers Rd, Cutter Rd, Linia Alfred St., Morgan Cemetary Rd at Daw Collins, and Greenhaw Rd.

 

Woodlands Network (includes Oak Ridge North, Shenandoah, Woodloch, and surrounding areas)

 

There are approximately 8,400 customers without power in the Woodlands network. Major issues in the area include downed trees and vegetation.

Damage assessments are approximately 85% complete and have found:

  • 41 poles down
  • 49,500 feet of downed wire
  • 20 damaged transformers
  • 41 broken crossarms

 

Since our last update, crews were able to restore power to approximately 2,000 customers in the areas around Park Avenue and Old Conroe Rd, around the Carriage Hills area, Doe Run Dr at N. Millbend Dr, Metropark Drive in Shenandoah, and Whisper Pines Apartments.

 

Crews are actively working to restore power today to approximately 100 customers in the Carriage Hills area, 1,800 customers in the Woodland Pines area, 131 customers in the Blair Road and Cox Road areas, and customers in the Dragonwood Place areas.  Some areas are taking longer than others to restore as these are in complex and off-road areas.

 

Huntsville Network (includes Corrigan, Groveton, Madisonville, New Waverly, Normangee, North Zulch, Trinity, and surrounding areas)

 

There are approximately 4,200 customers without power.

Challenges faced in the Huntsville Network continue to be downed vegetation, and downed poles and wires throughout the network.

Damage assessments are 100% complete and have found:

  • 34 poles down
  • 103,000 feet of downed wire
  • 15 damaged transformers
  • 99 broken crossarms

Since our last update, crews were able to restore power to approximately 2,500 customers in Corrigan/ Groveton area, 1,000 in Trinity County, 800 in Elkins Lake, and additional customers throughout the Huntsville Network.

Crews are actively working to restore power today/this evening to approximately 2,800 customers in the Trinity/ Trinity County area, approximately 600 customers in the Corrigan/ Groveton area, approximately 600 in Huntsville, and approximately 400 in New Waverly/ South Walker County area.

Bolivar Peninsula (includes Gilchrist, Port Bolivar and Crystal Beach)

 

Approximately 400 customers remain without power. Today, Entergy crews are working to restore power to all remaining customers on the peninsula who can safely receive power.

 

Dayton Network (includes Ames, Baston, Daisetta, Devers, Hardin, Hull, Huffman, Liberty, Saratoga, and surrounding areas)

 

There are approximately 500 customers with out power in the Dayton Network. Downed vegetation and truck access have impacted restoration efforts.

 

Damage assessments are 85% complete and have found:

  • 38 poles down
  • 36,600 feet of downed wire
  • 14 damaged transformers
  • 26 broken crossarms

 

Since our last update, crews were able to restore power to approximately 173 customers in the Liberty area, and approximately 236 customers in the Dayton area. Locations include: Tram Rd in Dayton, Duncan Rd in Liberty, Gate Rd in Devers, Rice Bell Rd in Dayton, CR 432 in Dayton, CR 4332, CR 6111 in Dayton, CR 185 in Liberty, CR 2017 in Hull, CR 185 in Liberty, CR 4323, Riverview Xing in Huffman, CR 6243 in Dayton, Winding River Trail in Huffman, CR 668 in Dayton, CR 2085 & FM 1011 in Dayton, FM 1011 Old 834 W in Liberty, FM 834 W in Liberty, Little John Ln in Dayton, CR 1660 in Liberty, FM 1011 in Liberty.

Today, crews are actively working to restore power to customers in the following locations: CR 440 in Dayton, CR 4431 in Dayton, Malcom in Liberty, CR 441 in Dayton, CR 438 in Dayton, CR 4700 and CR 4702 in Dayton, CR 661 and Northcross Ln in Dayton, CR 444 in Dayton, CR 140 in Liberty, McGuire Rd in Liberty, CR 175 @ FM 160 in Liberty, Rue Royal Ln in Liberty, Bobcat Ln in Hull. Walnut and Utah in Hull, CR 1015 in Devers, Minglewood Dr in Liberty, and CR 6611 in Dayton

 

heat advisory remains in place for Southeast Texas until 9 p.m. on Friday, July 12. Cooling stations have been set up at the following locations within the Entergy Texas service area:
