EXPOSING PERSON IN CITY OF KENEFICK-LIBERTY COUNTY

The Liberty County Sheriff’s dispatcher was notified yesterday at approximately 3:30pm on Monday, January 4th. that an unknown white male had exposed himself to a mother and her nine (9) year old daughter at the Simmons store located on Hwy. 1008 and FM 2797 in the City of Kenefick located in south Liberty County. Sheriff’s Deputy Tana Fisher talked to the husband of the adult victim as well as other witnesses and found that someone at the scene had taken a photograph of the suspect’s vehicle as the driver was fleeing the area.

According to information obtained by Deputy Fisher, the adult female and her young daughter had stopped at Simmons grocery store and was pumping gas into their car when the suspect drove up alongside of their car, stepped out of his vehicle with his trousers unzipped and exposed himself to the mother and child. After exposing, the suspect got back into his car and witnesses said they thought he left going east on Hwy. 1008 and then turned into the Woodland Hills sub-division about a mile from the grocery store. Deputy Fisher reported that some witnesses said they have seen the same vehicle in that area from time to time and a license number was given to Deputy Fisher but it did not come back registered to the type vehicle that witnesses reported the suspect was driving. Several variations of the license plate given were checked but none of them came back to a vehicle similar to the suspect’s car.

According to the description garnered by Deputy Fisher, the suspect was described as an unknown white male in his 30’s with brown hair and medium build. He was wearing blue jeans and a button down shirt color unknown. The vehicle was described as a Mitsubishi, 4 door white in color with body damage to the leading edge of the fender on the driver’s side. It might be noted by the photo taken by a witness, it appears the front tire on the driver’s side near the fender damage is the “donut” type spare tire indicating the regular size tire may have been damaged in a recent accident. Authorities are asking anyone that may have been involved in an accident with a similar vehicle of this description or knows of one that may fit this description in their community to contact the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office at (936) 336-4500 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392-7867 and provide the necessary information that would result in the arrest of this suspect. The identity of anyone providing information to Crime Stoppers will remain confidential.
