Jesse Ainsworth who was killed in Afghanistan on July 10 returned home today. After landing at Baytown the motorcade complete with Fire Departments, Police escorts and the Patriot Guard brought him through Dayton to the Pace Stancil Funeral Home where there was a viewing tonight. Thousands lined the streets to honor him. Many businesses even closed so the citizens of Dayton could salute their hero one last time. It was fitting that just as the hearse made it’s way over 1960 that the noon siren went off in town. Adults, children, even scouts lined the streets.
Jesse Ainsworth’s funeral will be Saturday at 10am at the Dayton Community Center and from there he will be buried at the Houston National Cemetery.
