FAMILY LOSES EVERYTHING TO THE RIVER INCLUDING BELOVED PET

When flood waters began on County Road 388 in Liberty County people started to evacuate as the East Fork of the San Jacinto Rover crosses that road. Lajoyce Poling was evacuated by boat from members of the EMC Fire and Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constables. The water had come up but had not gotten in her home yet. However for her and her grandchildren they thought it best. Within days another heavy rain north brought the river even higher. All her possessions were lost. Her home was destroyed, her office which she had just built a little over a year ago, destroyed, her vehicles gone. Her livestock moved to higher ground but the family had one pet which was raised from a baby, terrified it flew off. Abbey, her Eclectus parrot vanished. Abbey was hand raised since she was a baby with no feathers. THe issue with Abbey in the wild is she is not afraid of dogs or cats as she was raised with them. She is in the area of County Road 388 between where Loves Truck Stop is and Trinity Armory. If anyone spots her please email her at lajoyce2020@gmail.com or call 832-966-1030.
