At 1218am Montgomery County dispatchers received a call for a major accident on Honea Egypt Road in the curve south of the fire station. It was a mere second that Lake Conroe Fire Department arrived and found 4 trapped victims, one of which was deceased. They requested additional medic units. After almost twenty minutes all the victims were free and transported to the hospital. DPS Troopers then started their investigation. What they found was that a 17-year-old male was northbound on Honea Egypt in a 2004 Dodge truck with a steel flatbed. As he came around the curve the rear of the truck slid into the southbound lanes. A man and his wife along with their elderly mothers were driving a Lexus sedan and slammed into the corner of the bed of the truck. The male driver and his wife were transported in serious condition to the hospital. His mother who was 84-years-old and was sitting behind his wife was very critical. The wife’s mother who was sitting behind her husband was 84-years-old and was pronounced dead on the scene. The 17-year-old was taken to Conroe Regional in stable condition. Honea Egypt reopened just after 4 am.
