fatal accident on fm 149 brings montgomery county fatality count to 18

At 2:30 Friday afternoon as law enforcement units were trying to clear the multi-car accident that had Interstate 45 southbound closed another call came in for a major accident on FM 149 near Hidden Forest,

Reports were that someone one the scene of the motorcycle accident was performing CPR.

MCHD arrived on the scene along with Montgomery Fire Department and DPS.

Sean David Fitzgerald Williams, age 27 of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma was riding his motorcycle with family and friends winding down the Spring Break. The others made it around a curve but he lagged back some. That’s when his father saw him leave the roadway in his mirrors.

His father, Michael Williams, an orthopedic surgeon from Oklahoma City immediately went to his sons aid and started CPR. He was unsuccessful and his son died at the scene. Judge Moriarty pronounced him on the scene and ordered Metcalf Funeral Directors to transport him to the Forensic Center in Dallas for autopsy.

According to Trooper Laird Williams motorcycle left the roadway and struck a tree ejecting the younger Williams. He then hit a State Historical marker, breaking it out of the ground. Laird does not believe speed was a factor. All were wearing helmets.
