For unknown reasons the vehicle left the main lanes, struck all the reflective markers then slammed into the rear of the 18-wheeler. I-45 was shut down for several hours as the investigation continued. Milstead Wrecker Service responded to the scene . With the extensive damage to the trailer a dolly was required. Once it was in place the trailer ad to be backed up almost 3 miles on the freeway for them to safely get it off. Another truck loaded the tractor and yet another for the vehicle. The freeway was completely cleared by 2 am. The name of the victim has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
