Just before noon, Waller County was dispatched to a crash involving a car hauler loaded with 5 vehicles and two other vehicles on FM 2920 between Roberts and Hager Road. They arrived to find the driver of the truck pinned inside the vehicle. It was then determined the scene was actually in Harris County and they also responded to the scene. According to investigators, the truck was westbound on FM 2920. As the driver topped the crest in the road he saw traffic had stopped for an oversize load moving down FM 2920. Investigators say they don’t believe he even hit his brakes. The female driver in the vehicle ahead of him saw the truck coming up and swerved to the left lane. The truck driver did the same and slammed into the female driver pushing her vehicle into another pickup. Neither of those occupants was injured. The truck continued into a cornfield and rolled over. The driver was pronounced deceased. Crews are trying to clear the road but think FM 2920 will be closed through the 5 pm hour.
