On Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at 2:19 a.m. The Cleveland Police Department received a call from a motorist who was traveling in the 1600 block of East Houston Street where she noticed a truck that was wrecked and pinned against a large tree. Cleveland Police Officers J. Arnett and J. Skipworth arrived to find a white in color Chev truck with major damages and a female inside of the truck who appeared to be deceased.
Officers believed the truck was traveling eastbound on East Houston before veering to the edge of the roadway striking the concrete handicap access ramp near the entrance to the front parking lot of the Cleveland High School. The truck continued possibly going airborne and rolling down the ditch and striking a large pine tree and landed upright into another large tree where it come to a stop.
Liberty County Precinct #6 Justice of the Peace Ralph Fuller arrived on the scene of the motor vehicle crash and pronounced the female deceased. This is an active investigation and officers are confirming the identity of the female and collecting additional evidence.
