On Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at approximately 6:48 a.m., officers with the Conroe Police Department were dispatched to a major crash involving multiple vehicles in the 1000 block of South Loop 336 East. The department received information that one of the drivers was seriously injured. Upon arrival, officers immediately checked the welfare of all individuals. Officers located the driver of a Mazda passenger car, who was severely injured and unresponsive. Conroe Fire Department and EMS personnel responded to the scene and initiated life-saving measures. Despite their efforts, the driver succumbed to injuries sustained in the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Conroe Police Traffic Reconstruction Unit initiated a detailed investigation. Preliminary findings indicate the Mazda passenger car was traveling eastbound on South Loop 336 East, while a truck tractor towing a wide load (mobile home) was traveling westbound. As the Mazda passed the truck tractor, it struck the corner of the mobile home being transported. After the initial impact, the Mazda continued eastbound, colliding with two additional westbound vehicles before coming to rest against a nearby guardrail. No other individuals were injured in the crash. The deceased driver has been identified as 28-year-old Roylin Cocon Morales. Cocon Morales is a resident of Conroe, Texas. Investigators found no signs of impairment involving any of the drivers. The crash remains under active investigation. Notification of next of kin was made to immediate family members at the scene.
