Just before 8 pm, Montgomery Fire was dispatched to a reported auto-pedestrian crash directly across the street from Montgomery Fire Station 53. First responders were on the scene within seconds. A female was found at the intersection of Avenue C and SH 105 and was deceased. A Toyota Prius was just down the road. DPS Troopers investigated the crash. It was determined that the Prius was eastbound on 105 when the female, who they believe walked across the road from the Fuel Max at FM 1486 and SH 105. She was wearing dark clothes. The female had no identification on her person. As of 11 pm, she had not been identified. The driver of the Prius was not impaired. That section of SH 105 has no lighting and is extremely dark. The Montgomery County Medical Examiner responded to the scene. Eickenhorst Funeral Directors transported the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for an autopsy. The road, which was limited to one lane, reopened at 11 pm. If anyone has any information, they are asked to contact DPS or the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
