Just before 730pm a crash near the intersection of Roadway and FM 1485 killed a motorcycle driver. According to witnesses several vehicles were westbound on FM 1485 at Roadway. One vehicle slowed to turn right into the Valero parking lot. This caused the remaining westbound vehicles to stop. As the car was turning in a driver driving a Chevrolet 2500 pickup was pulling out to go east bound. As he did, a motorcycle which had been at the back of the line of the westbound cars waiting, pulled into the eastbound lane at a high rate of speed passing those vehicles. The driver did not see the pickup pulling out and slammed into the rear of the pickup. The impact was so great that it bent the frame of the pickup. The motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene by Montgomery County Justice of the Peace James Metts. He ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy.
FM 1485 reopened at 10:30 pm.
I am the neighbor of the victim, he was a very out going man, funny, always having fun, worked hard for the things he has, loved his wife, kids and friends. But mostly he loved to ride his motorcycle every chance he got. He will be missed by everyone!!!
He made a mistake which ultimately costed his life but y’all don’t need to be saying bad things about him and what happened. What if it was your loved and people were saying horrible things about what happened, you wouldn’t like it and would want it to stop!
All I am asking is people have respect for his family.. They are grieving and do not need to see y’all posting rude comments about his untimely death!
And for the picture/report of the accident Montgomery County did a wonderful job thank you for all that you do!!

Anyhow I think was one of those impulse and impatient things you don’t think you just do it, this one had a bad outcome, I refuse to say anything that could break a child’s heart if they read something posted about their father. I’m not one to not want to hurt someone’s feelings but I have a heart and wouldn’t want to make a child feel horrible about the father they will never see again on this earth.! Yes I saw where he hit and all I have to say about that is it was not the drivers time to go. God has a plan for all of us and when it’s our time he will take you, you can’t put cheat it or out smart him.! Prayers for the family and friends of the victim. May The Lord give you comfort and strength in this difficult and tragic time.
@imright… ok that was cold hearted to say. I’m sure we have a done things at some point in our lives kids or no kids and after you’ve done it you think to yourself that was really stupid why the hell did I do that. Well at least I have I’m not going to be a hypocrite about it.!

This is one of those cases that patients should have been a virtue. I’m not trying to be cold hearted and I have kept his family is in my prayers but in a previous comment someone stated that he had 5 children. I can’t feel sorry for someone that made that decision to pass and not thinking of his own kids and how it would turn out. Also if you noticed the truck that he hit, he was only a few inches from hitting the driver side door which probably would have killed the driver of the truck also. I have also had a family member on this page and what she did I would want everybody to know that way they don’t make the same mistake she did. Sorry if I offended anyone but I I think the Montgomery County police reporter does a great job and keeps us informed of what’s going on around us.
I don’t understand how people think it’s wrong to post the pics of the wrecks on here. This is the stuff that just may save someone’s life. A minor or young adult who have not been driving very long. The pictures posted are real life happens everyday. They are not showing the victims bodies they are showing footage of an accident. If you don’t like to see stuff like this then don’t look at the pictures that are posted or watch the videos.! So stop posting pictures and videos because it could hurt someone’s feelings that’s what’s wrong with America the Libtards don’t want anyone to get their feelings hurt and we should all ignore the truth and the facts of life…. I don’t see a issue with the pictures and videos posted. Please don’t stop because it’s reality.!
This is a media/news site so why is anyone surprised to find news items posted. Check out other news sites and you will find that they all report on things that aren’t pleasant. Life isn’t always pretty–it is unrealistic to think that you will never see things that are hard to look at. If anyone doesn’t want to see those things, they don’t have to ever click on the link. If you don’t want your children seeing those things then monitor their internet use and enforce limits on them.

I’m doing my best to be tasteful and professional when I say SHUT UP!! Be respectful to all involved with each report!!
Although tragic and sad, this reporting may save lives. Dating myself, but the drivers education reel to reels I watched as a requirement of the state of Texas to receive my drivers license, were far more graphic than any news story, MCop has ever shown.
I show these type stories to My family as a teaching moment of just how quickly life can be taken. Your actions dictate your longevity. I am sorry for the loss of life. The family of the motorcyclist and the vehicle driver are both effected. One grieves for loss of life….the other hurts, because they were part of the cause.
I also show stories like this to me kids that are driving age. I don’t want them to grow up sheltered and tender. Some may find my methods shocking, but they need to know and understand what responsibility they have when they are in their vehicles behind the wheel – not only for themselves, but for others around them. Too often kids are given the keys of an automobile with no real understanding of the damage and destruction they can cause. Hopefully, it will stick with them as long as they share the roads with everyone else.
One of the chances you are taking when you click on an accident story on MCPR is that there will be excellent photos of the the accident scene. There might be a typo or two, but there will be enough detail to convey what happened. I worked in a funeral home one summer while I was in college. I learned that most family members want to see their lost loved one, even if they have been killed in an accident and are not “presentable”. For folks that have a tender disposition, KHOU is an excellent choice. There you will find a two or three sentence article with few or no photos, sketchy suspect descriptions that leave out race, and that’s if you can actually read the article before it is covered over with moving ad banners.
I have always appreciated the reporters of MoCo. You are completely right about going to the other news sites. That is especially true when it comes to the news that occurs in MoCo. Half the time, you want even find any mention of it.
if this was your husband or father you would not want re live it through these morbid pictures. report on but have a little compassion for the family… this man has 5 small children under the age of 16 none of which need to see all these pictures!
This is The Montgomery County Police Reporter which I believed when I first saw the website they reported police activity in Montgomery County. To me this means reporting anything to which the police respond including automobile accidents. Yes, many readers have a morbid interest. Many, including me, are fascinated seeing the damage to the vehicle. In showing some of the pictures of the blood or other unpalatable items and giving reason(s) for the person’s death such as ejection might just make somebody think. Hey, I don’t want that to happen to me and will try avoid making the same mistake. Keep it up, Police Reporter, I enjoy your stories. The ones I am not interested in I don’t read.

Bigtex your right on the money. I wished they would report more news. No the rest of Montgomery county doesn’t appreciate it. All we ever get is one side of the story, which is usually wrong anyways. If you want the real news khou 11 knows how to do it. Mcpr should take lessons from them.
I think you do a great job..keep it up. Who cares if the stories, grammar, etc aren’t perfect 100% of the time? I for one, am sick of the politically correct, let’s not hurt anyone’s feelings type of stories. If that is what you are desiring, go ahead and move on over to one of the other news websites. Sure this wont make it on the site but I’ve got to say it: your reporting sucks, its inconsistent, most of the time it has nothing to do with montgomery county.( should be LCPR / lost dogs or something like that ) Im not sure I have read a decent artical in a while.(jamie’s are alot better when she post them) most of these seem like texting while driving post until you get to the scene as fast as you can to take pictures for the cops so they keep letting you into their scenes, and post the tragedy online and sell papers for money. Theres a way to report tastefully and respectfully and you sir are not doing it.
