Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers (DPS) are investigating a one-vehicle fatality crash on Hardin Store Road, three miles southeast of Magnolia, Texas. The preliminary crash investigation indicates on Tuesday, August 08, 2023, at approximately 8:02 a.m., a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup traveling west on Hardin Store Road entered the eastbound lanes, veered off the roadway and struck a tree. The driver of the Dodge, Roger Charles Christ Jr., 44, of The Woodlands, was pronounced deceased on scene by Montgomery County Justice of the Peace Matt Masden. The victim was transported to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy. This is an on-going investigation, and there is no additional information available for release at this time.
