At 10:45 pm Saturday night a male had just left a friend’s house on FM 1097 West near Watson Ranch Road on his Vanderhall Venice three-wheeled roadster. He traveled just a few hundred yards before leaving the roadway at a high rate of speed. As the vehicle traveled into the ditch it hit a culvert pipe causing it to flip and land on the driver. The front wheel was ripped off and ejected close to 100 yards. Montgomery Fire was first on the scene and found the victim deceased, DPS worked the crash. Montgomery County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack responded to the scene and ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy.
