At 821am East Montgomery County Fire and MCHD were dispatched to a reported major accident on the I-69 feeder southbound at McClesky (just north of the East County Courthouse Annex). Reports were a single vehicle in the ditch. Units arrived to find a Mercedes in the ditch with minimal front-end damage. The female in the vehicle was not breathing. Firefighters were able to extricate her and immediately start CPR. After an extended time, she was pronounced deceased on the scene. DPS investigated the crash. Montgomery County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack was contacted and ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the female who was in her twenties to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy. DPS is investigating. There is a possibility that it was a medical episode but that will be determined by autopsy. The name of the victim has not yet been released.
