Just after 9 pm Porter Fire and MCHD responded to a auto-pedestrian crash on Ford Road at Valerie. They arrived on the scene to discover a male in his 50’s with severe head trauma. He was transported to Kingwood Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. According to DPS a female driver was heading south on Ford Road and was about to make a tun when she saw a male standing in the poorly lit intersection. She said he was standing there and appeared to be looking at a phone of something. A mandatory blood draw was don’t on the female which was negative. No charges will be filed.
