At 7:45 pm Montgomery County dispatchers started receiving calls for a major accident on SH 105 eastbound at Crocket Martin. NMC and MCHD arrived on the scene to find a male motorcycle operator deceased. Another motorcyclist was transported to Conroe Regional Hospital in stable condition. DPS arrived on the scene as Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies closed the eastbound lanes. DPS determined from both witness statements and video captured of the crash that a male driver was westbound in the left turn lane turning into the Valero station. Two motorcyclists were eastbound at a high rate of speed. Both passed another eastbound vehicle at the intersection. The 2005 Suzuki ran the caution light nearly missing the male who was turning into the station in her 2013 GMC Sierra pickup. The second motorcyclist driving a 2003 Kawasaki also passed the same eastbound vehicle illegally and ran the red light. That driver then slammed into the GMC pickup. The driver of the Suzuki then laid his motorcycle down sliding several hundred feet until it came to a rest. That driver suffered no life-threatening injuries and was able to walk back to the driver of the Suzuki. The male who was almost completely in the gas station parking lot was struck in the right rear of the truck. The driver of the pickup was not shown at fault in the crash. Montgomery County Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace Jason Dunn responded to the scene for the inquest. He ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the male victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy. Barsh Towing removed the 2005 Suzuki from the scene. Adamicks Wrecker Service removed the GMC from the scene and Miller Towing removed the Kawaski from the scene.
