Saturday afternoon, DPS along with Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, MCHD, and North Montgomery County Fire Department responded to a reported head on crash on FM 2432. The first units on scene found a dead male in the passenger seat of a Suzuki SUV. A Dodge 3500 was laying on its side next to the SUV. The 16-year-old driver of the Dodge suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Montgomery County Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack responded to the scene and pronounced the driver of the SUV deceased, ordering Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the man to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy.
DPS Investigators are still not quite sure what happened, but it appeared the Dodge truck crossed the center line into the westbound lane, striking the SUV as it came out of the curve.
The name of the juvenile will not be released due to his age. The name of the deceased has not yet been released.
