Just after 6 am this Saturday morning, a 60-year-old male was traveling on FM 1485 toward I-69. The cyclist had the right of way. A female driving a KIA was traveling on Pickering and turned onto FM 1485, failing to yield the right of way to the cyclist. He slammed into the side of her vehicle and was ejected onto FM 1485. There was a concrete truck and another vehicle that struck him. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The concrete truck did not stop; however, being dark, DPS Troopers believe the driver did not know he struck the male. They are attempting to locate the truck driver. The other vehicle remained at the scene. DPS is still attempting to notify next of kin.
