On Friday, November 23, 2024, Conroe Police responded to a reported major accident with fire on I-45 near FM 830. Conroe Fire arrived on the scene to find a 2011 Buick SUV on fire. They were able to quickly extinguish the blaze, however, they found a 43-year-old male deceased in the vehicle. According to Conroe Police, the vehicle was northbound when for unknown reasons left the main lanes and struck the concrete culvert. The victim was identified as Jared Quintero.
