Just before 2 am a young mother just getting off work. She had picked up her 6 and 8-year-old children from a family member and was heading home in her Chrysler 300 as she exited the southbound ramp on I-45at Research a homeless male in his 50s, from the Spring area crossed directly in front of her on foot with no warning. She struck the male. The young mother and children were shaken but not injured. Woodlands Fire responded along with MCHR. Medics tried to revive the male but he was pronounced deceased. DPS investigated the crash with Shenandoah Police and Oak Ridge North assisting with traffic control. Eickenhorst Funeral detectors transported the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy.
