About 12:30 pm a southbound motorcycle on Old Houston Road between Village Way and FM 1314. The motorcycle driver who was riding with others failed to negotiate the curve and lost control of the motorcycle. The motorcycle and driver slid into on-coming traffic striking a vehicle head-on. MCHD and Caney Creek Fire responded to the scene. The motorcycle operator, a 62-year-old Magnolia resident was pronounced deceased on the scene. Montgomery County Justice James Metts responded to the scene and after doing the inquest ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy.
