On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at approximately 1:34 am, officers with the Cleveland Police Department responded to a major accident on SH 105 at the SH 105 Bypass.
The preliminary investigation shows that an empty 18-wheeler tank truck was stopped for the red light in the eastbound lanes of SH 105 and was struck in the rear by a small passenger car driven by Samuel Alaniz, from the Shepherd area. Mr. Alaniz was later pronounced deceased at the scene by Precinct 6 Justice of the Peace Ralph Fuller. The crash is currently under investigation by Cleveland Police Department Crash Investigators.
