Just after 7 pm, a family was westbound on SH 105 East about one mile east of Crockett Martin. A male pedestrian in his 40’s who had just left a gas station was crossing SH 105 with a six-pack of beer. He was struck by the Ford F-150 and thrown across the concrete wall into the construction area. A good Samaritan stopped and began CPR, which was taken over by an MCSO Deputy when he arrived on the scene. NMCFD and MCHD units arrived and continued to perform life-saving measures. He was then transported to HCA Conroe in critical condition where he was pronounced deceased. The vehicle was removed by Milstead Wrecker. DPS investigated the crash. The road reopened just before 9 pm.
