US 59 (I-69) has just reopened north of Splendora after a 64-year-old woman who was northbound ran off to the shoulder for yet unknown reasons. An 18-wheeler was on the side of the road waiting for a service truck due to a rock hitting and shattering his rear window. The driver of the tanker which was empty had already set not just emergency triangles up but also cones were visibly shaken by the scene. The Dodge pickup which had been northbound on I-69Â struck the right rear of the tanker with her left front.
Judge James Metts pronounced the woman dead on the scene and ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the female to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy.
Humble Wrecker Service had to use a dolly to haul the trailer since the rear axles were damaged.
Praying for all involved
and noname1023 it was not confusing why do you feel the need to critique the article
noname1023,let’s see if I can help you out here.Doubtful from reading your reply, but I’ll still try…
1)..”I couldn’t follow this barely at all.” YOUR statement!! And you are complaining about “proofreading”??
2)…”Who cares why it was sitting on the side of the road and how is the 18-wheeler relevant again? “..Just FYI,explaining that it was on the side of the road for a LEGITIMATE reason. And the 18 wheeler has/had a MAJOR RELEVANT part in this collision!!
3)..“…was shaken by the scene”… Hmmmm,a truck crashing into the rear of a parked 18 wheeler doesn’t offer YOU an explanation of the scene??
4)..”Where did the Dodge pickup come from? “.. Northbound on I69… Is that not enough info? Or did you need to know which lane it was traveling in?
Do you need instructions on how to breathe??Maybe,Just maybe, MOST people can understand AND grasp the article.
And I guess the pictures DID NOT HELP you put 2 & 2 together..
I suggest, with utmost”respect”,that seeing this article (AND OTHERS) was/is/were so incomprehensible to you, that you do not visit this site any longer!
That may help save some “living brain cells” that YOU so DESPERATLY NEED!!
Have a wonderful weekend! TTFN

to whoever wrote this article, Thank you appreciate you.
Don’t mind those that don’t appreciate what they have.
Sad.
Are these articles not proof read before they’re posted? I couldn’t follow this barely at all. This is a complete logical sentence?? “An 18-wheeler who was on the side of the road waiting for a service truck due to a rock hitting and shattering his rear window”. It was sitting on the side of the road and then what??? Who cares why it was sitting on the side of the road and how is the 18-wheeler relevant again? The article did not explain further. “…was shaken by the scene”… The article didn’t even explain the scene so how are we as readers supposed to be “impressed”. Where did the Dodge pickup come from? Was it the vehicle that the woman was driving? Was it a 3rd paty to the scene? Again, the article lacked this information and leaves me confused and I’d bet others are scratching their head as well. Please do us a favor and make sure these articles are clear and to the point before posting for all to see.
