FATAL FIRE IN LIBERTY COUNTY

A fire at noon today in the 700 block of Austin in Liberty has claimed the life of a female.  The Liberty County Fire Marshal’s Office and the Texas State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating. The woman was believed to have been suffering from a medical condition that did not allow her to escape. Liberty Police, who were first on the scene, were able to assist getting other residents out.
